Experience

Mr. Than Trong Ly is a key partner at DIMAC. His primary practice areas include Foreign investment, Corporate law, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Employment, Real estate, Construction, and Energy.

Before joining DIMAC in 2015, Mr. Ly spent over four years at Phuoc & Partners, where he worked with major international and domestic clients. He has provided legal counsel and representation to high-profile multinational corporations such as Emerson Group, CBRE, Unipart Logistics, Qair International, Lock & Lock, Jebsen & Jessen, Herbalife, Panasonic Vietnam, PepsiCo Vietnam, Hitachi, Archetype Group, CPG Vietnam, True Digital, Nuplex Resins Vietnam, TIKI, Besra Inc., AkzoNobel, Monsanto (Dekalb in Vietnam), Puma Vietnam, CNA-HTE Vietnam, Becker Vietnam, and numerous other foreign direct investment (FDI) companies operating in Vietnam.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Ly is a regular contributor of analytical articles on corporate law and real estate business law, which have been published in Saigon Times and other legal forums in Vietnam.

Mr. Ly has completed an intensive Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) training program at Imperial College London after earning his Master’s degree in Commercial Law and International Business Law from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom (2020). He also holds a Bachelor of Laws from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law (2013) and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology (2008).

He is currently a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association, the Vietnam Society of Construction Law (SCLVN), and the Vietnam Independent Directors Association (VNIDA).
