Experience

Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan has been known as the Founder and Managing Partner of DIMAC LAW FIRM (”DIMAC”) since 2015. He is also the Head of the Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Department, the Contracts Department, and co-manage the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Department.

Before founding DIMAC, he had been a partner of Phuoc & Associates (P&P)  for approximately ten (10) years as well as participating in other leading firms of Vietnam such as Lucy Wayne & Associates, Thang & Associates, Luat Viet (now Dentons Luat Viet); and had also positioned as a Legal Manager in  many multinational corporations with foreign direct investment in Vietnam.

Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan completed the Program on Negotiation of Harvard Law School, currently holds a Master of Laws (LLM) Degree in International Commercial Dispute Resolution, United Kingdom, since 2011. Precedingly, he had graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law (HCMULaw) as a Bachelor of Law (LLB), majoring in Commercial Law, and from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) as a Bachelor of Arts (BA).

Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan became a member of the Bar Association of Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam in 2006, and later joined the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association in 2014. In 2006, he was a member of the Coordination Committee for Young Lawyers of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He was also elected to serve as the Chairman of the Vietnam Business Lawyers Club (VBLC) for the term of 2020-2021.

Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan has been appointed as an arbitrator of the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) since 11 May 2012. In 2017, he successfully completed the training course for Commercial Mediation by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, United Kingdom (CEDR). In his role as an arbitrator of VIAC, until present, he has participated in the tribunal of approximately 100 arbitration cases over construction, commerce, and investment-related disputes.

As a professional lawyer, Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan has worked with a great number of clients being both foreign and Vietnamese corporations to assist in consultation, negotiations, and resolution of various legal issues in the construction sector. He has advised for and participated in the settlement of construction disputes arising from major projects such as the Park Hyatt Hotel, Da Nang International Airport, the Metro Project (subway), the Sun Avenue Project, construction and real estate projects of Bitexco, Son Kim Land, Gamuda Land, Coteccons, Ricons, COFICO, and Tan Thuan, among others.
